From A Large Clan

Eugene came from a large clan of the Tadeja-Quines clan from Sto. Domingo. His late grandfather Epitacio Tabbuac-Tadeja came from Quillayan, while his late grandmother Pelagia Quines came from migrants Buenaventura Quines and Josefina Jaramillo who settled in Sto. Tomas more than a century ago...

Epitacio and Pelagia have begotten their children as follows:

Isabelita married to Santiago Palpallatoc of Nalasin. They have eight children Elizabeth Duhaylungsod, Archie, Jeffrey, Daniel, Warlowe (deceased), Leilanie Faburada, Liezl, and Lonalyn (deceased).

Abraham (deceased, Phil. Inventor and Tawid Awardee) married to Dolores Taay-Tadeja of Poblacion/Puerta Real. Their children are Abraham Jr., Sandra, and Raymund Gerard.

Benjamita married to Primitivo Tabalan of Sto. Tomas. Their children: Marites San Pedro, William, Abraham, Charito, Manuel, Arlyn and Joseph.

Henedina married to Felix Sasuman of Quezon City. Their children are Alexander, Albert, and Alice.

Ernesto married to Mercedes Ragual. Their children: Margaret, Eugene, Juliet & Melanie.

Reynaldo married to Rose.

The Quines clan is itself large and composed of the sons and daughters of:
Sergio Quines: Arnel, Adelina, Adelfo, Beth, Jorge and Darvin (deceased).
The sons & daughters of the late Simeon Tuzon: Basilia, Sergio, Aurelio, Augusto and Teodocio Tuzon. Most of Jaramillio clans in the entire town of Santo Domingo are also relatives and closed-kin. Others from the Quines clan have migrated elsewhere.

Most of the folks from Quillayan, Lussoc, Borobor, Calautit, Nagtuppacan, Lao-ingen, Lagatit, Cabittaogan and San Pablo are the kins of Eugene although a lot of their families' friends and neighbors extend to all of the eastern barangays that include Nambaran, Nalasin, Quimmarayan, and Nagbettedan.

But Quillayan holds a special place in the heart of the Tadeja family as this is where they humbly came from. All of the people in Quillayan, Tadeja and Tabbuac are their close relatives and friends. Their support never wavered and Eugene and his family would be forever grateful to these people.

At Your Service

Eugene Tadeja, 32 years old, is currently one of the Sangguniang Bayan Members of the Municipality of Santo Domingo, province of Ilocos Sur, the youngest in the August Body. This is his second time to be elected in the SB Office. He also served as SK Chairman of Barangay Sto. Tomas.

He is the second son of current ABC Liga President Ernesto Q. Tadeja (retired PNP Finance Officer of Ilocos Sur) and wife Mercedes Tadeja, head teacher of Sto. Tomas Primary School.

Soft spoken and easy to approach, Eugene, Gene, or Claw (or Clawi as fondly called in the barangay) is God-fearing and firmly believes that rich and poor are all equal. In fact, he had also been a victim of discrimination and financial constraints robbing him of more than a year in his current office, but he is steadfast and hopeful that honesty and a clean conscience is what he can best offer to the public.

Eugene is currently married to Rosalina Vallejo Puga-Tadeja of Cabugao. His daughter from first wife Arlyn Tano is Genevieve, now 14 years old (top photo).

Siblings:
Eldest Margaret Tadeja-Cruz (journalist-at-large)
Third Juliet Tadeja-Rivada (entrepreneur)
Fourth Melanie Tadeja (finance executive)
